How Do I Add Social media Icons to My Galleries or Footer?

Photocrati comes with built-in social media icons that appear at the top of your blog sidebar. We’ll be expanding this to other locations in future updates. But for now, if you want to add social media icons to the posts, pages, or footer area there a number of great options. You’ll need to install a plugin as follows:

1) Login to your site and click PLUGINS > ADD NEW.

2) Search for the plugin, and then click INSTALL, then ACTIVATE.

Here are some great social media plugins, with links to the plugin pages at WordPress.org. You can often get a better sense for what these look like by clicking the “Screenshots” tab on each plugin page.

Sexy Bookmarks

Adds an attractive social bookmarking menu to your posts, pages, index, or any combination of the three. See the screenshot below:

Sociable

Probably the single most popular social media plugin. Automatically add links on your posts, pages and RSS feed to your favorite social bookmarking sites. Looks like this by default:

Social Media Widget

You can use this in combination with Photocrati Footer Widgets to add social bookmars to your footer widget area. Just install the plugin, then drag the widget to your Footer Widget Area by going to APPEARANCE > WIDGETS. Looks like this:
